Assignment for my painting 2 class. The theme was music, so being the geek that I am, I painted Sharon den Adel from Within Temptation from their "Memories" music video. Only music video to EVER make me tear up. D:
This'll sound odd, but I love to draw beautiful women, and I've always wanted to do something of her. Acrylic was a really new medium for me, but it WAS nice to be able to go back over mistakes (zillions of times...) after they dried. This is a photo of the painting, and despite my attempts to retouch some bits in Paint Shop, it still looks way better in real life. *sigh* This is definitely my favorite of the few paintings I've done, though. (Portfolio, ahoy!)

Very cool. The feathers are so pretty and I love the background. Photos and scans never do justice. You're definantly better with acrylics than I am. Oils are more my thing.

Thank you friends. So you see I cant be wrong about everything. I cant be, its impossible. -Morrissey
Wow, you paint way better than I paint with arcrylics...
Anyway, beautiful painting. I love the different shades you used, especially the shades of blue and black, which give it that monochromatic feeling I love so much. The details on the feathers are wonderful--you actually made them look fluffy, like down. And the woman's face is lovely

I dunno...They're really nice to do textures and stuff, but you have to work kinda quickly and in small areas or it'll dry. You can shade pretty easily by just doing one color at a time, I just mean that it's hard to blend because they dry so fast.

Hold my hand in my sleep, nevermind dreams. At least I know that you exist and there for me. That's all I ask.
